This blog is about living cheaply. I’ve thought about writing a blog like this for a long time as I’ve been cheap (frugal, thrifty) all my life – what prompted it today was a mild grilling by a strata council member in my condo’s “refuse room” (garbage room/recycling room). He wanted to know “Do you live in the building.” I affirmed it. He asked me what suite number. I replied by throwing his question back at him. He replied that he was “on the strata council.” He wanted to know if I was “making a mess” – as he’d ’seen me around.’ I’d been digging through the recycling bins and the stuff to be put in the recycling bins. I found:
1. Diet Coca-Cola 2liter cap (for use on icoke.ca)
2. 3 CDs (2 Van Morrison, 1 Proclaimers)
3. A whole lot of bottles and cans (somebody in my building drinks a lot of alchol)
4. a book hardcover book (“Terrorist Hunter” by Anonymous)
5. A flattned cardboard box perfect for shipping stuff.
I hadn’t made a mess. It’s funny, I don’t believe in recycling, but I’d bet I’m more of a recycler, reducer, re-user than anyone else in the strata.
I’d planned on taking photos of my finds in my condo’s “refuse room” using my bulky ten year old digital camera. It used a floppy drive (!) – but trying it out a minute ago, it has died since last time I’d used it. So no pics right now. My cellphone has a camera on it, but I can’t get the pics off of it without using a bluetooth connection (which my computer currently doesnt have).
So… I’m looking for:
1. A digital camera
2. A bluetooth connector for my computer
